Well, w’ere in Grand Rapids, Michigan and, as of 7am this morning, the National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for our area. Since last night, we’ve received almost 12″ of snow with another 6″ expected today – and more coming our way tomorrow!

Last night, as we watched television, stations were running cancellation notices at the bottom of the screen. Everything was cancelled – Winter Carnivals and Winter Fun Days. Everything EXCEPT our show which was scheduled to go on as planned. We laughed out loud!

I’m sure they’ll cancel it today. It looks really bad outside. My concern is getting our of here to we can make our next show in Minnesota. Extremely dangerous winds and chills are in the forecast with temps at -20 and -30 degrees. I’ll be trying to figure out the next step in our travel plans today. If the snow lets up early afternoon, we’re out of here. If you check a weather map, you’ll notice this HUGE white spot over Western Michigan – everything else is clear. We are in the center of the huge white spot!

UPDATE: We just heard on television that the Michigan State Police are telling people to stay off the roads. And we heard from the sponsors of tonight’s show that they are planning to move forward with the performance! I think I’m going to have to make a few phone calls.
