It’s been great to be home for a few days. We’ve been able to catch up on a few things but, more importantly, had some time to relax at our house after 7 weeks on the road.
I’m continuing to work on the documentary. I’ve decided on a final title (at least for now) – More Alike Than Different. I think it brings home the idea that people with disabilities aren’t all that different from the rest of us. This week, Mwita and I made the drive to Baltimore, MD to interview and video Melissa. She is a young lady with Down Syndrome who was doing a presentation at Loyola University. She is a remarkable young lady and will be a strong advocate in the film.
Tomorrow, we leave for Louisiana. I’m sure we’ll find warmer temperatures but we are also going to have some fun! I’ll keep you posted!
