Cindy and I spent last weekend in Atlantic City.  We made the trip to spend some time away from the office for Cindy’s birthday and to catch up with some friends of ours who are performing at Trump Plaza.  We had a great night on Thursday walking the Boardwalk and playing a little game of putt-putt.

Friday the weather turned stormy so we did something shopping at The Pier at Caesar’s. That afternoon we made the short drive to a neighboring town to spend the afternoon with Mark and Jinger Kalin.  Time flew by quickly over coffee, bagels, and great conversation.  Before we knew it, it was time for them to leave for Trump’s to get ready for their 9pm performance.

The show – Carnival of Wonders – is an amazing collaboration between three performers, each one bringing their unique talents and skills to the stage.  Jeff Hobson plays the role of the carnival jester throughout the production.  His is a genuinely funny guy and each moment he is on the stage is hilarious.  Kalin & Jinger bring romance, personality, and a warmth to the show that’s impossible to describe.  Hobson touches your funny bone; Kalin & Jinger touch your heart and soul.

We were on the road fairly early Saturday to drive down to Washington, DC.  We stopped there for a little while to explore the Capitol and see some of the monuments before finishing up the drive home.

The rest of the week will be devoted to re-designing a website, editing video footage, completing the new promo DVD, and getting Alan acquainted with the office.
